The state level Science Exhibition on the theme “Renewable Sources of Energy” was hosted by PES college of Arts and Science on 30th of November 2018. The event saw young enthusiastic participants from different parts of the state putting up participatory exhibits comprising of innovative working and investigation based non- working models. Four students from the Senior Secondary Section participated in the exhibition and displayed their projects.
The exhibits from different schools were indeed eye openers on various topics related to Green energy, Innovation in transport, technology and so on.The exhibition was divided into two categories: working and non working projects. Samarth Singh and Navashen Kolarangatt from 11-B won the First Prize in the category of working models and Sharlet Bijoy and Trisha Figueiredo from 11-B were awarded the Second Prize in the category of non-working/poster based exhibits.
A renowned astronomer Dr. Vithal Tilvi was invited over as a judge. He applauded the students for their novel ideas which will help the world to become a much better place to live in. Dr. Vithal Tilvi also addressed the students on the topic‘Secrets of Astronomy’. It was truly an enriching experience for the students.
